It’s so important to surround yourself with people that uplift you. This is Gurv & Harv Sihra - They’re work horses, grinding and living their dream everyday. As WWE superstars they travel upwards of 300 days a year, wrestling night in and night out. We connected a few years ago through a mutual friend and bonded over our love for wrestling, hip-hop, and acting. They always make time to hang out when they’re in town and have been really supportive to me. I walk away feeling inspired every time I talk to these guys. When you’re building your dream - it’s important to have friends like that around. #FindYourTribe. PS Moment Gurv and I saw each other we both pointed at each other’s outfit and said, “of course.” As you can obviously tell - we’re both all about that 2Pac life. My self worth, as an artist, is not defined by the number of records I sell. It comes from the euphoria of being completely free from concern when I’m creating - whether it be rapping, writing, breaking down a script and acting. Though recognition and financial success are welcomed... My greatest blessings are the beautiful souls I’ve encountered, connected and collaborated with. #MakaveliBranded. #NeverShady. Some days I’m up, other days I’m down. Lately I’ve been feeling the LA City Blues... As all artists do. Yesterday, during my sister’s birthday brunch, Richard Lewis (who I grew up watching on Curb) told me I’m witty and to never lose my passion. We had a really nice conversation about acting, comedy, writing and even rapped together. It really lifted my spirits - sometimes the universe tells you exactly what you need to hear. #RichardLewis
Happy and inspired to hang with my guy @rohitsharmacomedian today. #NewBrownAmerica right here. #Repost @rohitsharmacomedian with @get_repost ・・・ I feel inspired. Today was cool, I finally caught up with a guy who I've wanted to meet up with for some time and today was the day we finally connected. It happens "oh we should totally meet, let's do it, hit me up... " then nothing. But we were supposed to link up, a higher power wanted us to meet. I have admired @theasoka from the first time I met him. He is a kind soul, someone you should be lucky to be friends with. A supremely talented Indian rapper, actor and creative. It's easy to be alone or get busy with your daily grind. I recommend taking the time to be kind and link up with those kind of people. You never know who can help inspire you to grow as an individual. Be thankful. Be kind. Eat pizza. #powerinnumbers #americanindian #theasokahustle #bekind Always a night to remember when you’re with @TheTravelHer. Life is beautiful in California - it’s where the creative soul is fed and nourished. Words of encouragement and journeys come together to blossom new art. . : @twothirtyfive
First production meeting (of hopefully many many more to come) with a few of my best friends. This is the #DreamTeam. #FindYourTribe. Butter Chicken & Thums Up with baby bro before he moves. Beginning to realize how precious “everyday moments” are. Simplest things... Like a nice meal together become sparks of light that guide us through our journey. Through the constant challenges of life - you have to recognize all the “little” moments for what they are... #Blessings. Spilling coffee on people as we take our photos. Ain’t no thang...
Happy Diwali to all of you. To all the beautiful souls from every religion, culture, and race. Diwali is the Festival of Lights, for us Hindus. Let’s choose #LOVE over hate and dominate the next year with light, prosperity, and peace! #Om Shooting with these creative and talented people. #LifeIsGood. #TheAsokaHustle. Happy 25th Anniversary, Conan! I have met some of the most wonderful people I’ve known through this show. And those people have impacted my life in such a wonderful way. Use to set my VCR to tape Conan on school nights - Little did I know one day I’d get to be on the show too. Life is fun, and @TeamConan adds a little more to that. #Conan25 PS screenshot from The Conan O’Brien Rap Anthem Video I did years ago

“Best Hip Hop Artist’ VH1 Nomination!

yo, If you want something bad enough you have to believe in it. Just as a wall is made out of individual bricks, realistically all dreams are made out of individual efforts. At times it can seem like a daunting task… but you just have to focus on placing one brick down at a time. […]

BTS: The Humble Hustle pt. 1

Last week I embarked on a journey with a few of my comrades. We set out to the middle of the desert and what followed was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I grew up wanting to rap. I grew up listening to legends… Not realizing that one day I’d be working […]

I know I don’t update as often as some people would like… but just know that if I’m away from the site it’s probably because I’m in the studio creating new music or figuring out new ways to get it out to everybody. That being said,  I have some great updates for you! My new […]

Thank You Team Coco & The Conan O’Brien Staff!

The holidays were a little extra special for me this year… I was asked to be a part of Conan’s Holiday Staff Album: Hot Coco. I appear on the closing song for the album called “The Night Before Christmas in LA.” Talk about a surreal moment. The night they gave me a physical copy of the CD… I just kinda sat back and stared at it in my hands. I’ve been watching Conan since I was probably 12 or 13 years old. It’s an unreal feeling to be a part of something with their brand. Life moments man…

A very special thanks to Alison Flierl and Doug Karo for making this happen!

Win This War – Official Music Video!

“Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart.” – Rumi

The quote above speaks volumes to me. I think every artist can relate to the fact that, we have to do, what we do… It’s not really an option. The art runs through our veins. Welcome to the War of Art! A war that I plan on winning…

Be a part of my battalion. Enjoy the video. Send it in to your favorite blogs, post it on your favorite websites or message boards! Share it on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Tumblr! Email it to a friend! Whatever you’d like! Let’s just knock this one out the park!

Much love and special thanks to: Naia Kete, RawKey, PappaArtwork, and Tec!
